Hot new documentary released in May 2009, tells the story of the 2007 uprising in Burma— nicknamed the Saffron Uprising due to the intense involvement of Buddhist monks in the demonstrations. Many of them are still missing and unaccounted for today. The story focuses on a band of independent Burmese journalists who risked their lives to get the story out. Most of the footage comes from small DV cams and even cell phones used to capture secret images during the protests, which were later smuggled out of the country by the filmakers. It is being released the same week Burma's oppressive military regime tries political prisoner Aung San Suu Kyi for another term in prison. She has spent most of the last 19 years in jail or under house arrest, while western governments stand by and watch multi-national corporations do business with The Regime...

It continues to follow the business of war into the modern era—vividly displaying the military industry's need for perpetual war, and an ever-evolving arsenal of weapons to continue growing its bottom line.
