Excellent documentary about promoting peace through music. The directors brought together musicians from all over the world to make their point. They recorded musicians from a variety of musical traditions in their native settings—from New Orleans blues singers to classical Indian musicians to S.African vocalists and more. Then they mixed them all together to come up with some great arrangements of classic old songs—mostly songs about peace from Bob Marley. Check the linx below to hear Stand By Me with a Russian violinist, S. African choir and Indian tabla maestro added to the mix. There is a CD and DVD out now. And the filmakers have been touring with some of the musicians from the movie under the name The Playing for Change Band...
