Scall art is Brent and Martin Nadin, two brothers from Liverpool who have created one of the most original urban art crews in recent years. They've just started a new web site where you can see images of their latest work. And they are the featured artists at the Urban Bodies Exhibition this summer ('09) at Stock 20 in Tai Chung.
Their recent work features a series of some of the most unique graffiti stencils we've ever seen (clips below). Unlike their past two tone silhouettes, the new pieces feature of variety of colors and images layered on top of each other to create combinations few have ever seen, much less imagined—a Japanese geisha with a Hoover vacuum, Marilyn Monroe in a ball of flames, monkeys with guns... Scall Art's latest work doesnt just look good, it also says a lot about the modern world's fixation on images, violence and technology.
drawn comparisons to Frank Miller.
Older brother, Brent, has experimented with a variety of mediums including a recent line of resin hand sculptures that will also be featured at the next show. Keep an eye on their new site and this page for updates. And dont miss Scall Art's show this summer if you're in East Asia. It promises to be one of the best in a long time...
