樣結合音樂、藝術與人文的戶外活動，這次特別選在
一年之中，白天日照最長的一天--夏至，來舉行這樣
的盛會，今年更是精心安排許多精采的演出，希望
有你熱情的加入讓今年的夏至超火。

Weather Report
Chance of rain for the miaoli/shin chu area
is down to 20% max--surrounded by the miaoli and central mountians,
this is one of the driest places in taiwan--only rains when storms
come strait west from mainland china. Tai Chung & Taipei are
both over 50%--but all the clouds are in the east and north, so
the beach on the west coast should be luvly this weekend. grab
your umbrella or rain coat if its sprinkling in the city--wait
for any rain to die down--buses and trains leave tai chung and
taipei 2 or 3 times an hour, all day--so you just gotta keep dry
til you get to the bus, then they'l take you to the beach--where
once last year, it rained til 11pm in Tai Chung, stoped at 4pm
on the beach and we had a great nite, while everyone else sat
in the rain in the city--dont make that mistake, a little rain
wont hurt anything and with all the covered backup area, no one
will have to get wet on the beach unless they go swimming-- even
if its still raiing in the city ...

This
is the first ever revevolution/chi funk, 2 day, 2 stage muzic
festival. we'v amassed an amazing
array of muzic & performers: friday
nite is all funk, w/ house & breakz
in an open air chill out lounge on the beach.
saturday starts out tribal w/ dub,
reggae, drums, dij and dj around sunset. from 8p-12 hip.hop
rap and funk w/ live mcs and the top scratcher on the island:
J4. after midnite the funk picks
up again, w/ more funky house and breakz.

appeared on mtv. as a solo dj, he has recently done a live scratch
act at spring love in ken ding, and opened for drum n bass legend,
Goldie, at Hua Shan...

will start his own nite at 2F later this month. He also plays
every wed. @ Citizen Cain (good place to find him if you need

Tong
Shiao is the nicest white sand beach on the west coast. Situated
at the foot of the Miaoli hills, with lush forest surrounding
the beach, it is one of the nicest beaches in the north of Taiwan,
and only 45 min. from Tai Chung by car or bus, 1.5 hour from Taipei....

Shiao offers a variety of recreational activities in addition to
luvly nature, including: horseback riding, paintball and many aquariums.

to 100 artists and performers will lend their talents to this
projekt, creating a diverse array or art and colours from all
over the globe

in Taiwan, will have a stand, offering temporary tattoos (last
one week) for a reasonable fee, and info on permanant tattoos,
which he can also do on the spot, in less than an hour, for the
extremely brave

will intiate a new idea at this party, the idea is basicaly to
let anyone get invovled in whats happening at the event, and get
something out of it for themselves. there will be a few projekts
specified at each event that people can participate in and receive
ticket discount and/or free drinks. the idea is to get people
involved, not to get everyone in for half price. so there are
a few simple guidleines:

akin:wood/metal
sculpture
arguabley the foremost metal sculptur in all of taiwan, akin has
received international acclaim, including publication and showings
of his work in europe and america. a true artist, akin lives in
the hills above san yi, where he experiments with a variety of
metals and woods. he has received mass recognition for his work
with recycled metal scraps--making art out of garbage. his pieces
are very strong, a bit intense and certinaly reflective of the
course material they are shaped out of. But they carry a certain
impact, occasionaly harrowing, but always poignant, which comments
unmistakeabley on the chaos and convergance of art, technology
& materialism in our time--particularly in asia, where the
ascent (or descent) has been so rapid...
it
is an incredible honor to have these works at our event--comment
on the kind of artist and person akin is--he is not concerned
with his fame or pocketbook, but only that his work is seen, experienced
and respected for what he's put into--come out early and take
a look in the lite--and everyone help us keep an eye on the art
to make sure people dont mistakenly set beers on it or damage
it in any way...

like akin's--see if you can turn any of the crap around your house
into art--there's room for about 10 more pieces around the main
sculpture area. email us with an idea as soon as you get one...

on, and some paints to go on them (bring some of oyur own if you

to everyone putting some quality colour on the clothes sat. afternoon...

Hop`Rap Live Act along
with top hip hop djs J4 and Caddywampus, will be live mcs and
break dancers, all combining for a mass performances of rap and
scratches

you can transfer to Tong Shiao--doesnt matter, all buses end up
on the beach eventualy--so get on any bus that looks like this--the
bus co. is Jui Ye--below are major stops

late buses esp. for party) you can use to get to the beach any day--so
after you come to the party, you will always know how to get there

Word About
Tickets:
friday is less than the normal entrance
price to Tong Shiao--small, cool, plenty of camping and rooms--a
funky warm up to get everyone out, relaxed and ready for saturday.
Sat. is a bit more, but well worth it--the first time we'v had
2 seperate systms and stages, 15 djs, close to 100 artists and
performers--a summer solstice extravaganza
Nature:
re.v.evolution.01 environmental
projekt was a mild success--we got more of the garbage in bins,
and seperated most of it for recycling after--but we still need
to work on this, especialy on the beach: please mentaly prepare:
no butts on the beach--we'll get as many bins as we can--find
one, put your garbage in it--we must take care of the environments
we party in...
and
re.v.evolution.02 environmental projekt: mass transit should work
well--there'l be cheap, ez transport leaving tai chung & taipei
all day--please take advantage and help us keep the environments
we go into beautiful for the next one...

Shiao is another of our safest venues--they have excellent relations
w/ local media and law enforcement. they have obtained legal permission
from the local governament for this event. That means local police
will stop by occasionaly to make sure there are no problems--so
please dont burden them by using illegal drugs in public--its
time for responsible partying in taiwan--it is incredibley stupid
& selfish to use illegal drugs in public--it puts everyone
at risk--so remind your friends not to do so--this is a personal
matter that should be dealt with by individuals, so public authorities
dont have to..
