Final Words & Images
Thats all from Chi Funk for the time...Its been beautiful--we'v experienced more luv and energy here than we would have in 10 careers in an office somewhere--we dont have much to show for it materialy--but this is not a mony-making business--we leave that to the big boyz with their contracts and clubs--what we gain is much more valuable than a record deal or residency in Ibiza--and tho we'll be starting up again in Spain & Latin Amerika w/ about the same we had when we came here: 2 dex, a mixer, our colours and just enuf cash to thro the first party--we'll also be taking 5 years of luv, energy and experience with us. We have no doubt that it will be enuf...
Hope to see you all in the west sometime soon. Keep in touch with this site constantly--it is going to swell to international proportions in the coming months--and there's a lot of other groups interested in doing parties next year. The
art auction
was an astounding success. Half the paintings sold on the spot
(i didnt think anyone brought mony to the parties
considering how hard some people bargain at the door--but this
was beautiful)--some paintings had 4 or 5 bids b4 they
went. Mass thanx to Calvin (EMCEE Insaitiable) for putting it
together so well...
The
Interaktiv Art Projekt
also went excellent. Small groups painted thruout the nite--a
lot of them taiwanese, which was very encrouaging. We finished
3 3m long murals and hung them on the spot...
The
breakz Room was wicked. Alix D, The
Sundance Kid, K Fancy & Saucey kept it going until dawn, when
close to 200 people crammed into the small lounge area to see
the sunrize with a little funk...
RainboWarrior
played a wicked 5 hour final set that took us thru all
those styles of underground funk he has championed in his career
here (massive thanx & luv to the last 50 folx
on the dance floor: the morning crowd--been about the same people
for the last 2 or 3 years--beautiful to see you all out--that,
in the end, is what keeps it all goin...)
